With every breath you take Since your youth did awake You try to get out of this maze of emotions by some kind of solution But what you find? - Again only confusion! Then it silently occurs to your mind that youth maybe hurts! First you are young, free and single But suddenly love makes you tingle. But when the first emotional outburst is ended And you think about the feelings you wasted. Then you realize that youth hurts! When the ears of your parents aren’t open But there are still so many points left unspoken About your problems and especially your grief And when you then don’t believe That there can be any chance of relief. Then you are sure that youth hurts! But there is opportunity and chance And this joy of life in your glance This feeling of everlasting happiness And this bewitching easiness Of being. And then you have to ask yourself whether youth really hurts? |
